Self Empowerment – The Power of Language Part 1
Have you ever tried achieving a goal, only to meet with such strong inner resistance you eventually gave up trying? You might not be aware that changing a few simple phrases might just prove to be the difference!
Here’s a fact. There are an abundance of courses, workshops, webinars, and online help available to give you clear step-by-step directions on how to set and achieve your goal.
Yet, people still find it difficult, if not impossible to reap the rewards of the personal success they want so badly. Even though they attend course after course and have read numerous books on achieving goals. Why?
Well, it might just come down to a few simple phrases and one in particular I notice cropping up more and more in conversations, with those individuals feeling overwhelmed.
This one simple phrase can paralyze you and stop your progress dead in its tracks. It can leave you defeated, riddled with guilt and resenting the very person you are.
And most everyone uses it every single day without a second thought. We teach it to children and engrain the meaning in their minds. Then we test them to make sure they understand its meaning. And yet, at a subconscious level it can spell our very defeat. Continue reading
Law of Attraction – Taking Responsibility For Your Life
I don’t believe I have ever taken a self help, personal development or law of attraction course that did not include something about being responsible for your life. The only problem with that is no one ever went any further explaining the meaning. They sort-of left the statement as is.
Somehow, people equated “being responsible for your life” with taking blame for everything that has gone wrong in their life. Finally reaching the point where they could say, “OK, I did that-and I was wrong.” “I admit it…I was wrong!”
Only now, in addition to reliving the event, they have to deal with the guilt. No wonder people are reluctant to be “responsible for their lives.”
Now I thought long and hard about this, because something struck me as being very off about this statement “being responsible for my life,” and the meaning most people seem to be giving it. So, I began to look at it from another perspective, a much deeper perspective. Then it hit me. Continue reading
“How To Change Your Life?”
You know, the thing I have seen client’s wrestle with the most over the years, is the concept of change. Everybody seems to want it. They all talk about it in one form or another. Lord knows they spend billions of dollars every year trying to learn about it.
But when it comes down to it, they fight change tooth and nail. And, for most, it’s only out of desperation they ever really travel that road and commit themselves to change. Why?
Here is where the real challenge comes in. The “why?” you fight change. Part of the problem lies in where you assign the thing or things you believe are holding you back from change. People usually have a laundry list of people, places, and events they believe block their path to change.
My spouse, my friends, my boss, my job, my town, my education, you know. And the list continues to grow the older you get. ‘That’s some of that good-ole experience factor kickin-in’.
Well then, let’s get right to it and look at two important things you must do if you’re serious about change. The first is, and I know you’ve heard this many times before, you have to take responsibility for your life.
Not in the sense of finally being able to say with confidence, “I was wrong,” but as acknowledgment that you are the creator of the events that occur in your life. That’s what the true meaning of the law of attraction is all about.
The second thing is to create the change you want to experience. Think about it. Imagine what it would be like to experience that change. How would your life be different? What could you do that you believe you can’t do now? How would it be to experience that level of freedom?
All change requires these two necessary parts. Now the one thing that most people glaze right over and never give a second look to is what happens right before you begin to work on these two things. I can sum it up in one word, commitment! Without it, there is no change.
You must first be committed to changing. Convinced that path is the path, the only path, you need to be on. That’s why I say most people must get to the point of desperation before they really turn toward change. Some need to reach that point before they are honestly ready to commit.
To begin, have a long talk with yourself about change. I recommend that you do so in a mirror so you can see your response as you hear the words you use to describe your idea of change. You might need to tune a few of those words to match the vibration of what you feel inside.
Once the words match the inner vibration of the thought, the idea of how that change would be, you’re ready. Really ready!
I have some more in depth thoughts on change I’d like to pass on to you. I have a twenty minute audio on change. It’s free to download. All you have to do is follow this link. How To Change My Life.
“How To Use The Law of Attraction To Climb Out Of An Emotional Hole”
“I just can’t figure out how to get out of the hole! If I could only get to the bottom of my problem, I could break free and move on.”
How many times, as a life coach, did I hear these statements and many like them from clients. You can become obsessed with getting-to-the-bottom of things. You believe that only by getting-to-the-bottom can you finally move on, put the whole thing behind you, and look to the future.
But the truth is, more people than not spend an entire lifetime and never get to what they think is the origin of their problems, beliefs and limitations. Why?
Here’s a little insight about vibrations that might just provide you with an excellent clue to this problem. The nature of vibrations, thoughts and ideas is that they attract their own kind. Nothing new here, this is all basis law-of-attraction 101.
But let’s give this some deeper thought. Your thoughts, ideas, and beliefs, only attract similar things-similar events, similar people into your life. It also means that when you engage these thoughts, become preoccupied with these thoughts, there are limited resources at your disposal, and therein lies the key.
Let me see if I can give a little more clarity to this. You see when you are faced with a challenge that keeps coming up, over and over again, there is a reason why you can’t seem to break free. It may be easier to explain this with an illustration.
Imagine for a moment a circle. Within the circle are all of the issues about the challenge you face. The emotions, past events, past failures, all of the people involved and all of the beliefs you have managed to establish concerning this challenge.
Most people believe that a greater understanding of the issue will somehow break the spell and let them move on. Some believe that if they could just get a break for a moment (a break here meaning a resource that lies beyond the circle) they could somehow finally overcome the forces of their challenge and that would be that, freedom!
What escapes you is the fact that as long as you are focused on the problem, the things within the circle, you can only draw on the resources that lie within that same circle. To consider anything else would be to think outside the circle.
So you keep searching and using the resources that are in the circle. You may even experience some momentary relief, but soon find yourself repeating the same pattern. You may even develop the belief, as many have, that it’s just the way it is, and won’t change.
Well, there is a way out. But, the answer may not provide much comfort at first-which is probably why most people past on it initially and keep repeating the some old pattern.
There are three steps to this process. All three are important and to skimp on any of the three will find you back in the circle repeating the same mistakes over again.
Step One: You see to break free, a clean break, you must abandon the circle completely. That means, for the moment giving up all possibility of understanding your problem. Coming to terms with the fact that you will never get to the bottom of it. You will never finally become aware of what you believe is the one event, one word or phrase, or the one person who has caused you to experience this issue.
But take heart, once you are free of the circle, everything will become crystal clear. Why? Your vantage point has changed, you have new resources at your disposal and you see things from the new perspective that you couldn’t see before.
Step Two: If you don’t intend on living life in that old circle anymore, where will you live? The mind is predictable about this. It demands you always take progressive creative action. Which means, if you don’t create somewhere new to hang out, your mind will go back to the old program. Or, as one of my clients referred to it, “Your default program!”
Your mind will not operate in a vacuum. It will always move forward. It will always demand you create the next moment… either consciously, through imagination and the use of will power, or through established beliefs. There is no neutral.
You don’t need to know everything about this new place, these new thoughts, this new idea. You can begin to build it a piece at a time. You become aware of this new idea of living directly in proportion to how much of the old circle you let go.
A part of your mind has already laid the building blocks for it. If that were not so, you would not be able to experience the discomfort of recognizing that you are stuck in old patterns. You would just keep living life like every other creature. But you are aware that things could be different. The emotional distress you experience is the recognition of the distance between where you are, the old circle, and where you want to be. The new circle your mind has already created!
Step Three: Action, action, action! Although this should be the easiest part, moving toward something you truly desire. The life you really want to live, the job, or relationship you want most. This is the step where most people hit the wall.
This is the step that takes belief, faith in the things you can’t see. Faith in the things, events, people and circumstances you haven’t experienced. The faith to move forward into what you consciously consider as the unknown. Now you’re thinking, “A guide would make this so much easier.” And it would. And you do have one!
This is not faith in religious teachings, although most religions speak about it. This is faith in your own higher consciousness, your unique connection to the source. And the guide that will help you along is your own emotions.
As you move forward, you activate the plan in your consciousness. Move closer in harmony with that plan and you feel positive emotions. Move further away from that plan and you experience discomfort, uncertainty and doubt.
Letting go of the past, stepping into the future and expecting the very best you can imagine is not like jumping from a plane without a parachute. It is a process like ascending a mountain. You must move each foot from the past position to a future position to move upward. And, you do so one step at a time.
Remember, no external resources like books, audios, videos, seminars, etc are answers in themselves. Their real purpose is to help you connect with the inner resources you already possess. You can find the resources that will help move on that path by visiting Your Infinite Success.
The Laws of Success-Creating Resonance!
The laws of success begin with the idea that loss leads to greater loss and success leads to greater success. This is one of the foundations of modern self-help and personal development programs about the laws of success. It has as its basis the universal principle, the Law of Attraction.
For many, this law of success that leads to greater success is not something planned or expected. But rather, becomes the hit-or-miss, out-of-the-blue method called “luck.” Others however realize that “luck” is nothing more than some law in action. It’s called luck simply because the person doesn’t realize a law is silently operating behind the scenes.
Whether you define it in religious terms, mystical terms, or modern personal growth and development terms, there are solid principles about the laws of success-that if followed, will ultimately lead to positive results.
Personally, I like to know about these laws. How they operate. Follow their action in my life and the lives of my clients and others. I want to be able to correlate proven results to the application of these laws of success. If you can observe the results of these laws in action, you can repeat that action and produce positive results, one after another. That’s what we’re all looking for…proven traceable results, isn’t it?
Ok, so here are some rules to consider when you are laying the foundation for your success plan.
- You can’t afford to spend your thinking power just anywhere – You have to invest it wisely!
By that I mean you can’t afford to let your thoughts be led and taken captive by what’s going on around you. Reacting to the daily news or gossip at work. Always reacting to the events around you, but never responding to your real desires.
What you focus on sets your frame-of-mind. And your frame of mind completely determines what you are aware of in the world around you and what you will be drawn to focus on.
For example, you can be sitting in a stadium full of cheering people and still feel alone. But you could also be sitting alone on a park bench, completely entertained by what is going on around you, or by recalling the wonderful memories of some past event. The one thing they both share in common is your frame-of-mind determines your focus.
- You must create a goal – There must be something constructive for your mind to work toward or it will default to the thoughts that have the greatest emotional intensity. And they are usually the negative ones.
- Be patient. You only need to take one step forward – You don’t need to accomplish every aspect of your goal in an afternoon. That becomes an overwhelming idea that will shut you down. You only need to take enough immediate action to move you one step forward, toward your goal.
As your frame of mind changes, so does the speed in which you move forward toward your goal.
And as you become more familiar with your goal and how it feels to live your goal, the steps to achieve success will become more evident. And you will gain more confidence and certainty. That’s the law of success!
Law of Attraction Webinar
I’ve just posted a new law of attraction webinar, “5 steps to achieving success through the law of attraction. In this webinar, we take a closer look at how to set up your goal so that you can use the law of attraction to your benefit.
Remember. You will create. This is not a choice! The choice comes in with what you create. But you must choose. So, you want to keep in mind that you have basically 2 main choices. One is to create unconsciously, that is through your belief system. Which also means through your doubts, fears and uncertainties.
The other way is through a conscious act. By this you consciously create the image of what you want to experience. You then add the color of characteristics, feelings to the image. By doing this you make the image real, give it life and direct the law of attraction.
Anyway. Please enjoy the video webinar. It is about 41 minutes long.

“Tip #1 – 20 Proven Tips You Need To Know To Reach Your Goal In 2010″
One common question that I hear a lot today is; “How do I stay focused on my goal when there is so much chaos and turmoil in the world today? I want a new career, yet so many people are losing their jobs?
I think we would all agree that there is a lot of stress in the world today. But, it’s not the stress of the world that gets to you, it’s the way you personally relate to the stress that gets to you.
Keep one thing in mind, The condition of your mind, that is the thoughts that you dwell on and the mind-set you keep is going to make itself know in the circumstances that you face in the outside world!
The secret is no secret; you must stay focused on your goal. There are 3 things that you will want to do if you want to reach your goal.
The first is to ask. Sounds simple enough, but until you commit to a goal, all the wishing in the world is not going to bring you one inch closer to realizing your goal. You must commit your goal to writing so that you may constantly refine that thought and the image you associate with that goal until you have certainty.
Next you must be willing to receive. I know this sounds crazy to say, but it is the truth, and right here is where most goal setting difficulties, that people experience, happen. And, I can sum it up in one word that I will cover in the 2nd video tip.
The third thing is action. Often people become overwhelmed with the thought of what action to take. They can’t think of anything. The reason for this can almost always be traced back to not fully expanding on the first step.
Believe me, when you are going to create a clear picture of what you truly desire, action is going to come easy and effortlessly. You will have a natural desire to want to learn more about what you are going after. As you seek out that information and the people that can help you with your goal, you will be taking action. And that kind of action will always lead to greater action and more positive results!
“Tip #2 – 20 Proven Tips You Need To Know To Reach Your Goal In 2010″
“The Second Part Of Reaching Your Goal Is Your Ability To Receive”
More and more I hear people vent their frustrations at having a good education and also having job experience but for some reason, and this is the frustrating part…they always seem to fall short of their goals. Year after year they just come up short of their goals.
They naturally ask, “Why?”
I believe that I can sum up their problems in one word…beliefs! You see it’s your beliefs that are the operating programs you live by. Your beliefs define what is possible and impossible. The real kicker is that most of your beliefs are not really even yours. They are beliefs handed down by others…who by-the-way didn’t get much of a result from them either, and accepted by you at an age when quite honestly you just didn’t have the experience base to know what you were doing.
Negative beliefs can sabotage your most earnest desires by giving you the sensation that you aren’t smart enough, you didn’t go to the right school, no one else in your family was successful so why you? Beliefs can also bring with them the sensation that even if you were successful, you wouldn’t be able to handle the success, or worst you just can’t handle another failure.
None of these circumstances are really true; they are simply your beliefs. Where I find people really running into problems is how they try to handle their beliefs. Most want to struggle against the beliefs, try to deny them, fight them, or just try to block them out of their minds altogether.
The problem is that all of these approaches only make the beliefs stronger because they focus energy and attention to the beliefs. This approach is never going to produce the results you’re really looking for.
You don’t have to understand the old belief to move on. What you do need to do is create a new belief, a new habit, one that is directed toward your goal. Not one riddled with doubt but one dripping with certainty…the certainty that you have already achieved the object of your desire.
In my first video tip I mentioned that there were 3 things necessary to reach your goal. You must first ask, and then, second, be willing to receive and finally, third, you must take action. The process of creating a new belief is that process of receiving. If you have set a worthy goal, that is one that will not only benefit you but those around you, but some belief keeps getting in your way time and time again, then it is time to create a new belief that is congruent with your goal. This is part of the process of asking.
What good is a pitcher without a catcher…it wouldn’t be much of a baseball game. The same applies here. What good is a goal, to ask for something that would improve your life, without the belief that allows you to accept it?
