“How To Make Affirmations Work For You!”

There are numerous articles and advice columns on the creation and use of affirmations. Software is even available now to assist you in designing affirmations. However, most people are still not aware of the real role affirmations play in the law of attraction.

Affirmations are your verbal connection to the thought image that you create and wish to have manifest in your life. The words that you use to create your affirmation are the first outward expression of the thoughts that you dwell on internally. Those words are your thoughts.

Most advice that you receive on manifesting your goal says to visualize your goal as much as possible. That is not always possible for a number of people. However, you can repeat affirmations over and over and still have the advantage of connecting to your goal and also to develop the emotion associated with your goal that is necessary to have your goal manifest in the physical world.

Here are a few simple suggestions to help you create meaningful affirmations. First, make the affirmation positive, something you want, not something you don’t want. Second word your affirmations where they are acceptable to your subconscious mind. You can’t be worried all day about paying your bills and yet affirm that you are in possession of all infinite wealth.

This is conflicting to your subconscious mind. And since you probably have more emotion associated with the worry than the goal, chances are your subconscious mind will dismiss your affirmation as just another wish.

However, you could word your affirmation in such as way that you now “allow yourself to have an abundant income of,” and now insert the amount of money you desire. This wording is not in conflict with your subconscious mind. It may meet with resistance from some of your present beliefs, but that will subside with continued use of the affirmation.

Affirmations are used to reinforce a new habit in your subconscious mind. And, if properly worded and used consistently, a good affirmation will do just that. When a new habit is created you have also created a new belief and with that you, by the law of attraction, generate new action that will result in the physical realization of your goal.
